Original Star-Lord costume worn by Chris Pratt in Guardians of the Galaxy
Not only did Chris Pratt look physically amazing in the cosmic Marvel film, but he also looked the part of a roguish space-thief courtesy of Oscar-winning Costume Designer Alexandra Byrne. She's no stranger to superheroes as she was also responsible for costumes on Thor, The Avengers and the forthcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron movie.Be sure to also check out this period gown worn by Cate Blanchett in Elizabeth: The Golden Age, for which she won her Academy Award for Best Costume Design and also one of Zoe Saldana's Gamora movie costume from Guardians of the Galaxy.
Guardians of the Galaxy movie poster
Originally created by Steve Englehart and Steve Gan and first appearing in Marvel Preview #4 in 1976, this iteration of Star-Lord and his ragtag Guardians of the Galaxy team owe more to the 2008 space-based team comic by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, which saw the half-human/half-alien Peter Jason Quill team-up with 'Rocket Raccoon', 'Gamora', 'Drax The Destroyer', 'Groot' and other cosmic superheroes.Original Star-Lord mask used in Guardians of the Galaxy
I love that his mask in the movie pays homage to his comic book appearance during that time, and I also predict that more than a few people would love to own Star-Lord's runway-ready short red leather jacket. Aside from being a real comedian, he certainly has that 'Han Solo' swagger in the movie too, helped obviously by his cool attire.Guardians of the Galaxy Star-Lord movie costume in more detail
