Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess star in the movie adaptation of One Day, the 2009 novel by David Nicholls. The film follows the lives of 'Emma Morley' and 'Dexter Mayhew' after one day together - July 15, 1988, and chronicles the following subsequent two decades of their friendship over several July 15ths in their lives.

The costume designer says that because he has money Dexter makes the obvious choices in fashion, whilst Emma's style is more complex and at the start of the movie she tends to wear clothes that are slightly more old-fashioned.
