Picture cars from The Mummy and Public Enemies on display...

For a change of pace here at Hollywood Movie Costumes and Props I thought I'd feature two picture cars that I spied on my most recent visit to Universal Studios Hollywood in the Upper Lot on April 15, 2014, which played a part in 1999's The Mummy and 2009's Public Enemies.

This yellow 1931 Duesenberg Model J car belongs to John Hannah's 'Jonathan Carnahan' character in the fantasy adventure and was featured in The Mummy and The Mummy Returns.

Secondly, this black 1935 Chevrolet Model EC-601 featured in 2009's Public Enemies, which starred Johnny Depp as the notorious bank robber 'John Dillinger' during America's Great Depression.

I believe the French Police logo has been added to this car after the film to fit in with the French-themed area within the amusement park.

Maleficent's King Stefan suit of armor worn by Sharlto Copley...

In Disney's Maleficent the real villains seem to be men and their greed and ambition in the live-action movie, not the iconic (misunderstood) female Sleeping Beauty villain. Here's the fantastic suit of armour worn by Sharlto Copley as 'King Stefan', the father of 'Princess Aurora', in the fantasy movie's fatal showdown with the winged fairy.

Anna B. Sheppard was Costume Designer on the fairytale origin story of Maleficent and responsible for designing the South African actor's majestic suit of armour, which was photographed on display at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on June 3, 2014.

As a boy the orphan Stefan befriends a young Maleficent when he ventures into The Moors and also discovers that iron can cause harm to fairies.

Over time his ambition changes him and he betrays his former friend to become King, he also has his ironsmiths make this impressive suit of battle armour to protect him from Maleficent and her revenge.

Also on display as part of the fantastic exhibit of costumes and props from the movie were King Stefan's royal crown and chain worn by Sharlto Copley in Princess Aurora's Christening scene.

Channing Tatum's Roman centurion costume and shield from The Eagle on display...

Channing Tatum may soon be reprising his comedic undercover cop role in 22 Jump Street, but it wasn't that long ago that he was acting all serious alongside Jamie Bell in 2011's Roman era movie, The Eagle.

Set in 2nd century AD Britain, the actor plays a Roman centurion venturing into Caledonia with the aid of a Scottish slave (Jamie Bell) searching for his father and his missing Ninth Legion after their disappearance twenty years earlier.

The film was based on Rosemary Sutcliff's 1954 novel, The Eagle of the Ninth, and this exhibit was photographed on display at Universal Studios Hollywood on April 15, 2014.

Diana Rigg's Mrs. Gillyflower costume and console prop from Doctor Who's The Crimson Horror...

Famous for playing 'Emma Peel' in British 60's TV series The Avengers, when Diana Rigg isn't playing 'Olenna Tyrell' in Game of Thrones these days, she also found time to guest-star in Doctor Who's seventh season episode, The Crimson Horror, as the sinister 'Mrs. Gillyflower'.

In this episode the time-traveling 'Eleventh Doctor' and his Companion 'Clara Oswald' join Silurian 'Madame Vastra', 'Jenny Flint' and their Sontaran butler 'Strax' and travel to Yorkshire in 1893 to discover the secret of 'Mrs. Winifred Gillyflower's' Sweetville community after a series of mysterious deaths. Turns out Mrs. Gillyflower's never-before-seen partner, 'Mr. Sweet', is a parasitic prehistoric red leech which has formed a symbiotic relationship with its host and plans to spread its poison via a rocket launched over the skies of England.

Howard Burden was Costume Designer on this episode and this black outfit and rocket control console prop were photographed on display at the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff Bay, Wales on December 9, 2013.

This episode was also special as it starred real-life mother and daughter, Diana Rigg and Rachael Stirling (who plays Mrs Gillyflower's on screen blind daughter 'Ada') for the first time together.
